Delhi University (DU) has already started the registration process for undergraduate admissions in the academic year 2023-24. However, the registration for the new BTech courses is expected to begin next week. Once the registrations are live, students will have the opportunity to apply through the official website admission.uod.ac.in. Here are the details:

DU recently announced the introduction of three new BTech programs starting from the academic session of 2023-2024. In a press conference, DU Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh revealed the three available courses:

1. Computer Science and Engineering
2. Electronics and Communication Engineering
3. Electrical Engineering

According to DU officials, a total of 360 seats will be available for the BTech courses, with 120 seats allocated per course. Admissions to these courses will be based on the students’ scores in JEE Main 2023. The Faculty of Technology at DU will oversee the conduct of these programs. Dean of Admission, Haneet Gandhi, informed PTI reporters that the registration process is expected to commence next week. Students will be given the opportunity to indicate their preferences, and seats will be allotted accordingly. They will then have a few days to accept the seats allocated to them.

During the previous press conference, DU announced that each BTech course will have one supernumerary seat reserved for a single girl child. Additionally, DU will reimburse the cost of a laptop or provide Rs 50,000, whichever amount is lower.

Delhi University initiated the CSAS 2023 registration process on June 14, 2023. Candidates will apply for undergraduate programs based on their CUET UG scores. The new session is scheduled to begin on August 16, 2023. Stay tuned for the latest updates.

Delhi University (DU) offers a wide range of undergraduate (UG) programs across various streams such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Engineering, Pharmacy, Fine Arts, and Education. These programs include both Honours (Hons.) and Programme (Prog.) courses. To be eligible for admission to UG courses, candidates must have passed their 10+2 examinations with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks.

For admission to the BTech program, Delhi University has established the Faculty of Technology (FoT), offering specializations in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. Admission to the BTech program will be based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main (Paper-1) examination, followed by seat allocation conducted by the university.

To be eligible for UG courses at Delhi University,

Candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

1. For all UG courses except B.Tech, candidates must have passed their 10+2 examinations with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks from a recognized board of education.
2. For admission to the B.Tech program, candidates must have completed their 10+2 examinations with physics, chemistry, and mathematics as compulsory subjects and must have a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.
3. For B.El.Ed admissions, candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination from any recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.

The selection process for DU admission to UG programs is as follows:

1. Candidates are required to appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
2. Once the entrance examination is cleared, candidates need to register on Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal.
3. During the registration process, candidates must indicate their preferred colleges and programs for seat allocation.
4. The seat allocation will be done through the CSAS portal, considering factors such as CUET UG scores, the candidate’s position on the merit list, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR), and seat availability.
