AIIMS NExT 2023: Mock Test Fee Waived for Final Year MBBS Students

AIIMS NExT 2023: Great News for Final Year MBBS Students in Government and Private Medical Colleges across the Country. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has instructed the National Medical Commission (NMC) to waive off the examination fee for the mock test scheduled for July 28, 2023, for the students of the 2019 batch.

Before the commencement of the National Exit Test (NExT) in July 2023, which is conducted for clearing the MBBS degree, admission to PG courses, and medical practice, the Ministry has directed the exemption of examination fees for the mock test. As per an update from the news agency PTI, the Ministry has requested the NMC not to charge any fee for the mock test intended for the final year MBBS students of the 2019 batch.

AIIMS NExT 2023 NEET PG

The primary objective of NExT Phase 1 mock test is to familiarize prospective candidates with Computer-Based Testing (CBT), software interfaces, and the process flow at examination centers. NExT Phase 2 examination will consist of papers in seven subjects. The NExT Phase 1 mock test or practice session will be conducted on July 28, 2023. This examination will be organized by AIIMS Delhi as the designated authority for NExT Phase 1. Only final-year students pursuing the MBBS course in medical colleges or institutions will be eligible to participate in the mock test.

According to reports, NEET PG 2024 will be the last NEET PG conducted for admission to PG programs. It will be replaced by the National Exit Test (NExT), which will serve as the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG). For final-year MBBS students, NExT will function as a qualification and screening examination. Only candidates who pass the NExT Phase 1 and 2 examinations will be considered eligible to practice and obtain a license in India. Similarly, students studying abroad will need to pass this examination to validate their drug qualification in India. Additionally, based on the same score, students will also be granted admission to postgraduate medical courses.
