UTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria for Paper 1 (Class 1st to 5th – Primary Class):
Candidates aspiring to become primary teachers for classes 1st to 5th must fulfil the following eligibility criteria for UTET 2023 Paper 1:
1. 12th Intermediate (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year BTC/DElEd program.
2. 12th Intermediate (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year BTC/DElEd program, in accordance with NCTE regulations.
3. 12th Intermediate (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year BElEd program.
4. 12th Intermediate (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year D.Ed (Special Education) program.
5. Bachelor’s Degree (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year BTC/DElEd program.
6. Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) program.
7. Shiksha Mitra with a Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) from IGNOU.
UTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria for Paper 2 (Class 6th to 8th – Upper Primary):
Candidates aspiring to become upper primary teachers for classes 6th to 8th must fulfil the following eligibility criteria for UTET 2023 Paper 2:
1. Bachelor’s Degree (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in BTC/DElEd.
2. Bachelor’s Degree (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of BEd/LT/Shiksha Shastri (Regular).
3. Bachelor’s Degree (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of BEd/LT/Shiksha Shastri (Regular), in accordance with NCTE regulations.
4. 12th Intermediate (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year BElEd program.
5. 12th Intermediate (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year BA/BSc.Ed or BA.Ed/BSc.Ed.
6. Graduation Degree (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed (Special Education).
7. At least 50% marks either in Bachelor or Master Degree and passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed, provided that minimum percentage of marks in Graduation shall not be applicable to those incumbents who had already taken admission to the BA/BElEd or equivalent course prior to 29th July 2011.
