The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has good news for all the candidates who appeared for the SSC Junior Engineers (JE) Exam 2024 (Paper-I). The official SSC JE Answer Key 2024 is now available for download on the SSC website https://ssc.nic.in/. This allows candidates to estimate their scores and identify any discrepancies in the answer key.
The SSC JE Paper-I was conducted online between June 5th and 7th, 2024, aiming to recruit 968 Junior Engineer posts across various government organizations like BRO, CWC, and CPWD.

- Significance: Allows candidates to estimate scores and raise objections to the answer key (if needed).
- Negative Marking: Remember, there’s a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Factor this in while calculating your estimated score.
- Raise Objections: A window is open until June 15th, 2024 (8 PM) to challenge any answer key entry you believe is incorrect. There’s a fee of Rs. 100 per objection.
How to Download and Use the Answer Key:

- Look for the “Answer Key” section and navigate to the SSC JE 2024 Answer Key download page.
- Use your registration number and password to access your answer key and response sheet.
- Compare your marked answers with the answer key to estimate your tentative score.
Raising Objections to the Answer Key:
The SSC allows candidates to raise objections to the answer key if they believe a specific answer is incorrect. This is your chance to potentially improve your score. However, there’s a fee of Rs. 100 per objection, so make sure you have a valid reason for challenging the answer. The deadline to raise objections is June 15th, 2024 (8 PM).

Cut-Offs (Not Yet Available):
The cut-off marks for SSC JE 2024 (Paper-I) for various categories (General, OBC, EWS, etc.) in both Civil Engineering and Electrical/Mechanical Engineering streams are yet to be announced. They will be released along with the final answer key and Paper-I results next month.
